Two words: unplanned hiatus.

What started as missing a week has snowballed into nearly five weeks of silence. As many of you have noticed without a peep from us in a show or on the site with text.

First off, thank you to everyone who has sent messages inquiring as to our health and state of being. Thanks also, to anyone thinking about us. We appreciate it.

For some of you it has been even more frustrating because you see me active on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. I can understand this as Betsy and I haven't addressed not producing shows and you see that I am still alive.

It's almost embarrassing since for the last four years I have prided myself on setting an example of what being a 'good' podcaster was all about. Things like producing regular (like Metamucil), high quality audio programs that added value to someones day.

In our case that value was laughter. Whether you were laughing with us or at us for some of the situations we have found ourselves in.

Through this process we - you, Betsy and myself, have created a bond of sorts and I must apologize for breaking it by not addressing this sooner.

We just haven't been producing shows. There are a million reasons why but none of them are really good excuses as to why we haven't kept up with something that we enjoy doing.

Look for something from us in the near future and expect us to pick up right where we left off and act like this never happened. What else would a dysfunctional midwestern family do?
