across the river from the forest preserve by our house you can see these signs every 50 yards. it's kind of strange but there are beautiful lots with homes that have been there since the early 60's. possibly the original suburban sprawl ;).

how often do people in this building say, "box"?

my new buddy herc has arrived home.

he and his litter mates at the shelter were all happy to see us be this guy showed the most character, composure and intelligence. the kids are in love with him too.

the shelter suspects that they are a doberman/lab mix but could also be coonhound/lab.

we'll find out next week when a genetics blood test comes back next week.

i made my midday break from my office in the manpit to find that betsy brought me home these six beauties.

elliot was on vacation with his grandmother for the last week and arrived home late last night.

it's so good to have him back at home!

the afternoon has been put neatly in its place and we're heading home. it is a new day.

i am now a father, but can't shake the fact that i am also a child. it is a complicated existence we live.

maggie was starting the magic wind down hour before bed and asked for a snack. i thought i couldn't go wrong with whole wheat toast and butter.

after butter maggie asked for jam politely and promptly received it. betsy came home and i helped her at front door. i cam back this this plate with ketchup added.

there is no doubt . . . she is betsy's daughter.

heading to lunch and talking podcasting now. now it gets good!

it's very cool to be in an office so far from home with podcaster memorabilia. a home away from home of sorts.

If 'Dave' we're my arch nemesis I could call this new kingdom home.

WTF am I suppsed to do with this?

I just got home from taking the kids to a quick dinner and grocery run. The house smelled funny when I walked in, but lo did I know this was waiting inside.

All I know is that it came out of one of the dogs. Which end of said beast? No clue. Don't care.

Seriously, I am going to puke when I clean this up.

The car service company must find this to be hilarious. I guess it is that or I've reached status.

Regardless, rolling with your lady at 4:11 am in a highclass white stretch such as this can only be a close second to having hawaiian pizza for breakfast chased with tapioca pudding.

This is ridiculous. I just need a ride home, not a pimp chariot.
