If you gotta ask . . . then I can try to answer.
"Feeds" are a way to get the newest updates, podcasts or messages from a website
sent directly to you.
"RSS" is what makes feeds work. I will spare you the nerd out about how it does this.
(Yes, dear nerd friends I know that the XML is what makes it really work, but who cares. People just want their stuff . . . me included.)
Subscribe. You plug a "feed" into a "feed reader". That's what you do with it.
Plug, in this case meaning that you copy the "feed" address (URL) and paste it into your "feed reader".
Feed readers can be online, installed on your computer or both. FeedDemon is a good example of both. Online readers include Google Reader, Bloglines, NewsGator or MyYahoo!
For podcasts, specifically, give iTunes, Juice, RSS Radio or FireAnt a try.
If the prospect of even doing this freaks you out, you can use your web browser. If you have Internet Explorer 7 or any version of FireFox you can subscribe to a "feed" just like creating a bookmark or favorite.
